Step 2: Choose your rainbow style
“Rainbow” can mean a lot of things. These are the four looks our customers ask for most:
- Classic rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink, in order from Monday to Sunday. Bold and bright.
- Pastel rainbow: baby pink, peach, butter yellow, mint, sky blue, lavender and lilac. Soft and cute, and it photographs beautifully.
- Fall rainbow: pumpkin, mustard, cranberry, olive, rust, cinnamon and caramel. This is our Fall Special Mix, and it is the one we can’t stop printing this season.
- Shimmer rainbow: pair a neutral box with our iridescent finish for a color that shifts as the light moves.
A simple trick: keep the box itself neutral (ivory, white or light gray) and let the lids carry the color. A neutral base makes any rainbow look clean instead of busy.
Step 3: Choose your sun and moon colors
Every lid has a sun for morning and a moon for night. With the Special Mix, you can color those icons too. Two combinations work especially well on a rainbow box:
- Gold sun, black moon: the highest contrast, so morning and night are easy to tell apart on every color.
- White sun, white moon: lets the lid colors do all the talking. Lovely with a pastel rainbow.
If your lids are very light, choose darker icons. If your lids are deep shades like cranberry or rust, light icons stand out best.
Step 4: Make it yours
A few finishing touches make a rainbow box feel personal:
